New Jersey Emergency Fee & Free Time - 2023 Updates

Effective January 1st, 2023 the Emergency Fee in New Jersey of $75.00 per HBL will be eliminated. Although we continue to experience congestion in this market due to shifting west to east volume and difficult port schedules to recover containers, we are not in the same situation that put us into an emergency when this was implemented. We will continue to monitor this situation closely and provide regular updates on how this market is operating.
In addition to the elimination of the Emergency Fee January 1st, STG will extend the free time on imports into New Jersey back to 4 business days which is similar to the rest of our network.
