Effective Monday, October 4th STG Logistics is reducing its import storage free time from 4 business days and first weekend free to 3 business days and first weekend free in an effort to speed up the movement of cargo. Cargo availability will be displayed on our website by 9:00 AM each day to allow a full day to recover. Cargo that is not available by 9:00 AM will not be available later in the day to avoid the loss of a free day. Additionally effective Saturday, October 2nd, we will open our import window for pick-ups on Saturdays from 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with the last driver through the gate at 3:30 PM.
Please note, we do not foresee immediate changes in volume and project congestion to continue through at least the first quarter of 2022. Increasing the speed of the movement of cargo is critical to our operation and we ask for your support in picking up freight as soon as possible once available in our facility, particularly Monday mornings and Friday afternoons which are our light traffic days/times. Please communicate the importance of this to your transportation partners or consider using a carrier with an established pre-route program at our facility. The following carriers participate in this program: Estes, A Duie Pyle, JV, Old Dominion, New Penn, UPS, XPO, Forward Air, Freight Connections, ABF, YRC, Air-Ground and Saia. Lastly, we encourage our clients to book with us directly via Quick Quote to have STG deliver your freight to the final destination. Using our Quick Quote option stops the clock on import storage after the delivery order is tendered, expedites the delivery to your client, and in return helps create warehouse space.
