As your preferred CFS provider we would like to inform you a severe state of congestion continues at the ports and rail terminals across the country. While we continue to stretch our operation during this time to keep cargo flowing, the last 2 months, have brought on a new set of challenges with additional limitations at the LA and NJ ports, rail restrictions and overweight containers due to the limited ocean freight capacity. These conditions heavily impact our operation in terms of capacity and costs.
Due to this we will make the following rate changes below, effective Monday, August 23.
Los Angeles
- Import Pier Congestion window fee will increase to $10.00 per CBM/800 LBS, min $25.00.
- IPI overweight/over dimensional surcharge will be implemented for HBLs over 20 CBMs or 20,000 LBS, $10.00 per CBM/800 LBS will be added to the base rate.
- Overweight container surcharge will increase to $175.00 on container weight that exceed 44,000 LBS.
North Bergen, NJ
- Import Pier Congestion window fee will be implemented to $7.50 per CBM/800 LBS, min $25.00.
- IPI overweight/over dimensional surcharge will be adjusted and charged for HBLs over 20 CBMs or 20,000 LBS, $10.00 per CBM/800 LBS will be added to the base rate.
- Overweight container surcharge will increase to $175.00 on container weight that exceed 44,000 LBS.
