We wanted to update you that President Biden has signed legislation that implements a tentative agreement with the nation’s freight railroads and four unions that had not previously ratified their agreements.
Before signing the bill into law President Biden said, “I want to thank Congress — Democrats and Republicans — for acting so quickly. I know this was a tough vote for members of both parties, it was a tough [vote] for me. But it was the right thing to do at the moment, to save jobs, to protect millions of working families from harm and disruption and to keep the supply chains stable around the holidays.”
We are grateful for the continued uninterrupted service provided by the rail and the rail employees.
