Dear Business Partner,
We are excited to share some news that will make STG Logistics a stronger partner now and for years to come.
Today, STG announced that we have acquired the North American intermodal business of XPO Logistics. XPO Intermodal (XPOI) is North America’s third largest intermodal and drayage provider with network capacity to all major US port and rail markets via both the east and west logistics corridors. The combination of STG’s leading position in facility-based container logistics with XPOI’s leading position in container transport will create a platform of unparalleled capabilities.
Going forward, STG Logistics will have two strong operating divisions – STG Distribution and STG Intermodal. Each company will continue to operate independently under the existing management teams reporting up to the STG Logistics corporate entity.
As a current STG partner, you will continue to benefit from our commitment to invest our resources to best-in-class logistics solutions with unparalleled service and support. To that end, we will be adding 2,000 containers to STG Intermodal by year end. In short, today’s acquisition will only bring more offerings and better solutions for our customers.
STG is committed to continue to meet the challenges in the logistics world head on and with the added resources available through XPOI, we are more optimistic about our future than ever!
